Erling Haaland Proves He's Still Human in Latest Norway Outing

The Manchester City goal machine suffered a rare off day in front of goal as Norway were held to a shock 2-1 Nations League defeat by Slovenia.

Haaland, who has scored 20 goals in 13 appearances for City this season, had a number of chances to add to his tally but was denied by a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping.

Slovenia took a shock lead in the 24th minute when Benjamin Sesko headed home from close range.

Norway levelled through Mohamed Elyounoussi just before half-time, but Sesko struck again in the 69th minute to give Slovenia a famous victory.

Haaland's off day

Haaland had a number of chances to score for Norway, but he was uncharacteristically wasteful in front of goal.

In the first half, he had a header saved by Jan Oblak and then fired wide from a good position.

In the second half, he had another header saved by Oblak and then saw a shot blocked on the line.

Slovenia's shock win

Slovenia's victory was a major shock, as they are ranked 66th in the world, 56 places below Norway.

However, they played with great spirit and determination, and they deserved their victory.

Sesko was the star of the show for Slovenia, scoring both goals and causing the Norway defence all sorts of problems.

What does this mean for Norway?

Norway's defeat is a setback, but it is not a disaster.

They are still top of their Nations League group and they have a good chance of qualifying for the semi-finals.

However, they will need to improve their finishing if they want to challenge for the title.
