Ford and Mazda Issue Urgent Warning to Owners of Older Vehicles: Stop Driving Immediately

Dangerous Takata Airbags Pose Serious Safety Concerns

Over 475,000 Affected Vehicles in the US

In a critical safety alert, Ford and Mazda have issued an urgent Do Not Drive warning to owners of more than 475,000 older vehicles in the United States.

The warning stems from the presence of faulty Takata airbags, which have been linked to numerous injuries and fatalities worldwide. These airbags can potentially explode with excessive force, sending metal shrapnel into the vehicle's occupants.

The affected vehicles include certain models from the 2006-2012 model years. Ford and Mazda have identified 260,396 Ford Ranger pickups and 215,291 Mazda B-Series trucks as being equipped with the dangerous airbags.
